Abstract

Fatigue crack propagation tests are usually performed by means of hydraulic testing machines characterized by an vertical loading direction aimed to save space. However this disposition is not optimized for experimental activities in aqueous environments. In this work an horizontal oriented fatigue test machine was developed and fatigue crack propagation tests were perform in order to validate the testing apparatus.
