C ONCLUDING REMARKS stress-state dependent cohesive model for fatigue is used in simulation of fatigue crack initiation and growth in a representative aluminum alloy. The model was shown to be capable of predicting both initiation and propagation reasonably well compared to as observed in the experiments [8]. From the parametric study it is observed that increase in the parameter, cohesive endurance strength (  F ), is causing a delay in the crack initiation with significantly lower crack growth rates.
