Abstract

At present more and more criteria of multiaxial fatigue are based on thecritical plane. The best results in the critical plane determination are obtained with use ofthe damage accumulation method. In this paper this method was applied for calculations ofthe critical plane position. The calculations were done for all the specimen section. Thespecimens were subjected to combined tension-compression with torsion, swinging bendingwith torsion. It has been shown that in different points of the section there are various localcritical planes. The global critical plane is the plane in which the life calculated accordingto the chosen criterion is minimum.
